LIFEMAP WORKSHOP
If we want to know where we’re going we need to know where we’ve been. Recognising God’s fingerprints across our life can be a helpful starting point for discovering our gift mix, values, and, ultimately, God’s call on our life.
This workshop is designed for those looking to gain clarity around their future and take first steps toward articulating what they believe God is calling them to do. We will chart out our past using sticky notes, paying special attention to key life transitions, “clusters” of difficult experiences (during which God often does his best work!), and divinely orchestrated opportunities to try something new. We will discuss the importance of knowing our values since they are the link between our past and our future, and will begin the process of articulating a “Personal Calling Statement.”
This workshop is based on principles taken from Leadership Emergence Theory (Fuller Seminary). For a better understanding of how leaders develop over a lifetime we recommend J. Robert Clinton’s The Making of a Leader.
