WHO ARE WE?

Who are we?

• We are a community of people seeking to make disciples of Jesus Christ

• We use the skills and creativity God has given us in the opportunities He provides

• We work in teams, supporting and caring for each other

• We look to make new disciples who thrive and go on to make more disciples, intent on seeing God's kingdom grow in the UK.

• Through prayer, we seek God's purposes and power

• We seek to reflect the diversity of the church across the UK

What do we offer?

• We complement the local church, placing people in teams to be equipped and supported in their missional activity

• We welcome members who are full-time employed in secular work, bi-vocational or called to full-time Christian ministry - all committed to making new disciples

• We equip members with resources and tools to apply as relevant in their ministry

• Through our teams, we support and invest in each other in prayer, fellowship, discernment, training, learning and encouragement

• We care for each other, seeking to grow and develop as disciples and missionaries, helping each other sustain and flourish in ministry

What do we expect from our teams?

We expect members of a team to live geographically near to each other so that they can meet regularly in person and operate effectively as a mutually-supportive community. Some teams will have shared ministry projects; other teams will be a collection of people, each with their own ministry project - but still invested in each other for the shared purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

What do we expect from our Team Leaders?

In all teams, capable team leaders are key to facilitating effective long-term ministry. We expect our team leaders to:

• Demonstrate consistent whole-life discipleship to Jesus Christ

• Build and nurture a team in which team members effectively support, equip and encourage each other in faith, life and ministry

• Meet regularly with each team member to invest in each person’s care and growth

• Be an effective conduit for information and resources between the team and the rest of Novo UK

• Lead the team in recruiting and nurturing new team members

• Participate actively in team leader meetings aimed at developing and strengthening Novo UK

What do we expect from our members?

Consistent with our purpose and values, we expect our members to:

• Seek to live consistently with Biblical teaching

• Work passionately, creatively and diligently to make disciples of Jesus Christ in the situation God has provided and with the skills and resources He has supplied

• Invest in team, actively supporting teammates, for example through regular prayer and encouragement, sharing learning and caring for each other

• Actively support the team leader and the leadership of Novo UK
